Why does Tapestry meet on Sunday nights?
Yes, we know that most other churches meet on Sunday mornings, but we're not trying to be like other churches.
The primary reason we meet on Sunday nights is because we believe that meeting on Sunday evenings helps us to better connect with our friends who were not raised thinking that Sunday mornings were the time for church. Some of us grew up thinking that Sunday mornings were the time for sleeping late and watching football. If you want a Sunday morning worship service there are plenty of fine ones in town that we would invite you to attend.
Of course, meeting on Sunday evenings does mean that we will occasional run up against occasional evening Packer game. When that happens we shudder a little and then work with it as best as possible.
